lavendar mead

I got into experimental mode last week.  One concoction was lavendar mead.  I just mixed honey with water in a quart jar – maybe a quarter to third cup honey – and mixed in some dried lavendar flowers from the bulk herbs section at the health food store.  I did add a spoonful of kombucha to get the culture going.  Covered it with a light tea towel for over a week.  It has turned out great – tasty and a little zippy.  If I can refrain from drinking all of it, it will be a little more zippy soon.  Highly recommended!!
